I am a photographer based in Shannon (Co. Clare,
Ireland) and specialising in landscapes and
seascapes. My favourite places are the Dingle
peninsula, the Spanish Point, the Burren, the
Cliffs of Moher and Kilkee (in co Clare), as
well as the Glen of Aherlow and areas in Wicklow,
Waterford and Donegal.
I started my adventure in photography as a
9 year old boy. My first photo was of the visit
the president of Czechoslovakia (Ludvik Svoboboda)
in my town of Kosice (Kassa in Hungarian).
After some time I changed my media to movies
( 8 mm films). I took lot of "films"
of bats in opal mines in Dubnik (Slovak Republic).
I did other short movies of life but it was
expensive and did not express my feelings.
After that I changed to photography and felt
it was the media in which I could find a highly
creative outlet that suited me. I studied from
books by Gal Gyorgy Sandor (Hungarian writer)
about the life of Giuseppe Verdi and Bokay Janos
(Hungarian writer) about life of Giacomo
Puccini.
Both books taught me that all my "artwork"
should express my inner feelings and not cater
to what other people wanted to see! Sometimes,
however you need to satisfy your customers desires.
I love to take photos of trees, clouds, waves
on the sea and waterfalls, but I am fascinated,
above all, by the sun. Sunsets are my favourite
photographic topic. I also take underwater photos,
mainly of the scenery under the sea.
I use a Pentax SRL camera and a FinePix and
Cannon digital cameras.
I like taking colour pictures, but I always
come back to black and white photographs.
