Leon Keer, born in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 1970.
With respect and affection for the material I see myself as a devoted craftsman in the art of painting. Inspired by strange forms and pattern of the underwaterworld, industry and science, I take up my brush every day.
The paintings expresses a perfection and sense of dimension that is revealed in dancing and floating forms which are balanced in spite of the lively interaction.
Determination makes the compositions great in the literal sense of the word. The framework of the painting does not limit the imagination.
I do not attempt to wilfully uncover the deeper meaning of images. It’s only to present my vision at its best by striving for perfection. I am a self taught artist, greatful for the gift and I cherish every day to be able to enjoy myself in painting.

Gallery Comment:
Leon paints with a facility that is rare. Impeccably rendered unidentified natural organic forms interact with each other and at times with man-made devices to produce other worlds of startling beauty. The viewer is drawn in to floating scenes of imaginative mystery. The Dutch artist never takes himself too seriously in his choice of subject matter but we are witness to a serious artist / painter in every other sense. From the images we can only imagine the effect in their actual large-scale. (dg)

All orginal paintings are to be shipped flat in bubble wrap and twin walled wooden boxes. Art prints in canvas are rolled and shipped in a protective tube.
