ARTROM Gallery has been sponsoring International Juried on-line Art Competitions since 2004. We have become well known for our constant and varied calendar of competitions, as well as the Winners' Exhibitions which follow.

Last year we began our new series of TOPTEN on-line International Art Competitions, enlarging the opportunity for 10 artists to receive Awards and the extensive press created around the Winners' Exhibition.

ARTROM Gallery GUILD Membership:

The ARTROM Gallery GUILD is a world-wide showcase of outstanding artists and designers. All AGG Members were selected as Winners of an ARTROM Gallery TOPTEN International Art Competition, or they applied to become a Member, and were accepted through a jury review.

The Purpose of the ARTROM Gallery GUILD is:

to showcase and promote outstanding artists and designers through the strong online presence of ARTROM Gallery worldwide.

to provide a support system for the advancement of those who demonstrate a passion and a dedication to excellence in their chosen field of interest.

to create collaborative projects and exhibition opportunites for Members.

The new year always brings the impluse or at least the opportunity to reflect; on the past, the future, but more importantly, the present. Starting into a year which will be packed full of change, challenges, opportunities, I often ask myself what drives me to continue to push forward in such a difficult field.

I find myself constantly returning to the profond conviction of the importance of creativity as an essential element for a healthy and sane society. It should not be last on the list of our priorities. Creativity has the power to inform, to touch, to share, to bring into reality the essence of our human experience. Creativity is given birth through passion which transforms the unseen into a language we can share and use.

In my opinion it is absolutely necessary to create and offer support to those who have the courage to share the consequences of their personal process of creativity. I have great respect for those who travel along this path, especially because many times it is not a choice but rather a sense of being driven.

The creative process is evident in every aspect of life. ARTROM Gallery obviously focuses on those artists which have choosen a visual form of expression.

ARTROM Gallery began five years ago as an on-line gallery offering promotional services to artists. The use of new technology played an essential role as we created opportunties for high levels of visibility at a relatively low cost. As every business that grows and evolves we were constantly redefining our goals and objectives. We passed through moments of great movement forward with a corresponding enthusiasm and we also lived moments of confusion and discouragment when we realized we had too many ideas and projects for what we were realistically able to accomplish.

We successfully added a "real space", the Artist Presentation Space and began presenting a calendar of exhibitions for our AGG Members. We also established collaborative efforts with other spaces in Rome. ARTROM PRess was set in motion and performed well as a new tool to offer our artists.

After five years of work we have learned many lessons and reflected diligently, this has helped us make wise decisions for our direction for 2009. We have understood that the most effective method for working in this field is a truely collaborative relationship between artist and gallery. This will now be a priority in establishing new relationships and continuing those from previous years.

What does a "collaborative relationship" mean? This implies shared responsibility, working as a team, establishing objectives, constant communication and an exchange of ideas, creating a strong sense of inspiration and motivation. These are the elements which produce results!
