THEME: contemplation;(kntm-plshn) - long consideration or observation,
a content-free mind directed towards the awareness. Latin based templum
; "open for observation".
This theme is to put the focus on artworks that evoke "the immediacy of a quiet conversation", a contemplative relationship between the art and the viewer. The usual interaction with an artwork is a quick glance or a glimpse as reported by museum surveys in which it was found that visitors look at a painting from about 15 to 32 seconds.
Does your work have the power to capture the viewer, not only make them move past a glance to a gaze but to make the present moment, in front of the work, one in which they forget everything else.
