What is beauty? What is that sensation that is evoked when we see something beautiful? What is it that moves us? How does the contemporary art scene define it? How do you define it as an artist?

Whether it is form and color, or composition and porportions, or technical ability and creative intuition, or tied to the future , the past, or exisiting in the present, whether it be object, installation or concept, we would like to see it, we would like to see what's out there and give it visibility.

THEME: dedicated to exploring the theme of beauty in today's contemporary art scene.

MEDIA: ALL media accepted (including installation)

SUBMISSIONS: To enter the "Beholding Beauty" on-line juried International Art Competition you can use our easy on-line entry form or send everything in an e-mail to: competitions@artromgallery.com.

Three steps to participate:
> prepare your images
> fill out entry form and send images
> pay entry fee (detailed info in left hand column)

NOTIFICATIONS: When we receive your images and payment you will be notified via e-mail that you are officially entered in the Jury review process.

PRIZES:
Six artists will be choosen to be awarded the following:

* One year's Membership in the ARTROM Gallery GUILD (value €200.00 euro), which includes an on-line Artist Portfolio always viewable in the AGG Artist Member Directory plus an e-announcement (value €80,00 euro) sent thru the ARTROM PRess Service to our extensive opt-in mailing list of over 25,000 addresses. * Inclusion in the "Beholding Beauty" Exhibition scheduled to open November 14th, 2012 at the ARTROM Gallery, Artist Presentation Space in Rome. (This exhibition is scheduled to take advantage of the holiday season.) This exhibition will also be supported by the opening on-line of the presentation of all Award Winners.

The Beholding Beauty Winners’ Exhibition will be highly promoted through the ARTROM PRess Service with direct mailing of over 30,000 members of our international community of arts and culture mailing lists.

Special Recognition - 6 artists, one work each, presented in the on-line exhibition
Premio Italiano - 1 Italian artist - full page within on-line exhibition

- All award winning artists may participate free, in one upcoming ARTROM Gallery International Art Competition.

All submissions will be held within an archive for consideration of participation in future projects.
