ARTROM Gallery is hosting the second meeting in the series "Women in the Arts". Having produced such a positive response at the first meeting we have decided to continue with the format of an invitation to a simple dinner, served at a round table, for a group of eight choosen women, from various artistic fields.
This atmosphere lends itself to stimulating conversation, an exchange of ideas, an understanding and connection between women of great passion, talent and experience.
The purpose for these meetings is to begin to create a network, a support system, an exchange of ideas, which move towards the creation of interesting collaborations and concrete opportunities for women who work in creative fields.
In our first meeting we began exploring the idea of a large international all women's exhibition with the element of participatory art to be a central idea. In this second meeting we will re-propose the idea and see if there continues to be interest in developing such an event.
There was also a proposal to consider the formation of an women's association with membership to help sustain the costs of monthly meetings, the development of a blog and a directory.
