Anna Carusi lives and works in Rome.
She has studied drawing and watercolour with Robert Dickerson (ATD, MDD), Brighton College of Art and Design, UK, and oil painting with Joan McLaren (MA, MFA), Washington University, US.
Movement and colors is what Anna is interested in, her favorite technique is oil painting which allows to build up and transform the texture of colors based on chromatic perspective and expression of emotions.
The primary focus is painting itself, where she combines formal aspects of neo-expressionism with her interest in living beings, source of her inspiration.
Winner of distinction awards at the International Exhibition "Emilio Greco", Catania, at the "First Biennale" in Piacenza, and Finalist in No Limit 2004 Competition Italy, she is mentioned in contemporary art reviews and art catalogues (AccainArte, Art Diary International)
