I have to make photographs which record the objects and events I see, otherwise my life is miserable when I don't do it. I'm driven to photograph because of deep and often moody feelings which cause me to lose sleep when I see something that inspires me and for what ever reason I don't stop and take the time to record it on film.  I don't know why this is, but when I follow my heart the images find their way on to my photographic prints. 

The photographic prints are the finger prints of my soul.  These prints are my legacy to my children so that they will know me better through my visual poetry.  Each is a segmented capsule of time in my life where I took a moment to express my feelings.  I chose the photographic method because of its paradox in reality.  A moment frozen in time is always a paradox to my life.  An image of something held in time allows me to go beyond the objective and tune into my abstractions.

I hope that through the efforts of my art I can convey the tears and joys of life as I have experienced it.  The photographs function as graphic poetry as well as a private way of communicating to myself in quantum terms.
