|Artist Statement ::
My name is Éva Gabriella Révész, I was born in Budapest and spent my childhood there. Currently I live and work in the small town of Veszprém.
In the beginning of the nineties, I started drawing again with the graphics program of personal computers as the professional graphics software offered itself as a challenge. Vector graphics programs put graphics designing forward in my works. I have been making images, other publications and web pages of Hungarian companies, both small and large ones.
The possibility that I could draw, paint and create can be owed to my family. Simple drawing became digital pictures which preserve my individual view of colors and forms.
My works do not necessarily have personal connections. All are bound to my soul closely, however, they step over the border of reality and dreams. They are angels, mystic creatures of another world, which are transient, untouchable and fictive. Thoughts and dreams turned into vision, which stop only for a moment, make themselves be seen while say a little about themselves – about us, good, bad, the world they live in and which is as absurd as real world – symbolically then go on unknown and never ending ways.
During the years of 2006 and 2008 I took part in design work of Melocco Miklós’s - the famous world star of sculpture art - “Brusznyai Memorial” in order to erect that by public subscription.
I have been the member of Veszprém Artists Craft since 2007, and in June 2008 I became a member of the American aid organization "Unite for Children" of UNICEF.
