ARTROM Gallery
is pleased to present
the Winners of the
NEW LANDSCAPES 2007 International Art Competition.

The Landscape is a mainstay in painting. The desire, or rather, the need to paint one's world is ancient and continues to inspire artists. Whether interpreting an existing scene or inventing a new one, creating an environment is recurrent throughout the history of art, and it is as valid today as it ever was, as evidenced by the Artworks shown in this Exhibition.
Special congratulations to the winners; Richard Barber, Giuliano Pastori, and Deb Borsos, each bringing their personal interpretation to the theme.
A special Merit Award was given to Vanessa Grant for her ability to use light so effectively in creating atmosphere in her works.
AGG Member Mike Bell is on a search for light from the "Land of Far Horizons", big sky natural light, enducing atmosphere in sweeping land and seascapes. Outstanding work.
