ARTROM Gallery is dedicating a “Special Event” to celebrate the universal and timeless symbol, the Mandala.

The universality of the Mandala is expressed through it's fundamental principle of a center. ARTROM Gallery proposes to carry forward this idea by creating a meeting point of individuals that have experience with the potential of this symbol.

We are inviting extraordinary international artists to participate in a collective on-line exhibition which will be the focus of this event. The on-line symposium will also offer visitors extensive and reliable information on the history, evolution, use and religious and scientific considerations formed around the Mandala.

A percentage of proceeds will be donated to the creation of 'Mandala Workshops' for kids in the City of Rome during Summer 2008.

Call for Mandala artists:

Artists will be selected to be part of an exceptional month long on-line exhibition. Six artists will also be offered the opportunity to participate in a collective at the ARTROM Gallery, Artist Presentation Space in Rome during November 2008.

Be part of the "The Mandala, Unity in Diversity", on-line collective Exhibition at www.artromgallery.com. The on-line event opens in June 2008 with a corresponding exhibition at the ARTROM Gallery, Artist Presentation Space will open in November 2008.

The on-line exhibition will include;
three levels of artist participation (see details below)
an extensive introduction to the Mandala
a links directory for creating deeper understanding of this symbol
a purchase zone for mandala related products
a posting of visitor comments

Mandala artists who would like to participate in this Special Event can send an email to elizabeth@artromgallery.com. Please choose the level of participation in which you would like your work presented and 3 images of your Mandala work or a website address. We will contact you after reviewing your submission.
First level of artist participation :: available to 6 selected artists
highest visibility and promotional opportunity includes;
 Personal webzone dedicated to your mandala work
- presentation of up to 10 artworks
- artist statement as concerns artist’s mandala work
- gallery comment/critique written by ARTROM Gallery Director David Genovesi
- resume or biography
