ARTROM Gallery is dedicating this “Special Event” to celebrate the universal and timeless symbol, the Mandala. The universality of the Mandala is expressed through it's fondamental principle of a center. ARTROM Gallery proposes to carry forward this concept by creating a meeting point of extraordinary international artists, writers, teachers and scholars who work with this symbol.

The International Mandala Symposium will be a multifaceted event :

"From Ancient Tibet to Today", an exhibition of five selected artists to be presented at the St.Stephens Cultural Center in Rome, Italy.

The event will also include the following:

Course: Introduction to the Creation of the Sacred Tibetan Mandala - 2-day hands-on course taught by
Dam Chhoi Lama, in which participants will individually create a sacred Tibetan mandala

Amnesty International: an evening dedicated to Tibet and it's current situation.

Honored guest speaker - Dr. Massimiliano Polichetti, Director Historian of Oriental Art of the Museo Nazionale d'Arte Orientale a Roma.

Opening :: Tuesday, November 17th - Monday, November 30th



"The Mandala, Unity in Diversity", an exhibition of 20 contemporary Mandala artists at the Artist Presentation Space of ARTROM Gallery, in Rome, Italy.

Various events to be scheduled.

Course: Children and Mandala, an afternoon of Mandala creation for children (and parents)

Annual ARTROM Gallery Christmas Party

Opening :: Wednesday, December 2nd - Sunday, January 10th, 2010




"The Mandala Connection", an on-line resource for mandala. ARTROM Gallery is dedicating space within the gallery website to the creation of a extensive network for all those who work with, research, create and share this symbol.

Please read carefully and then choose the level of participation in which you would like your work presented. Send 3 images of your Mandala work and an artist's statement or a website address. We will contact you after reviewing your submission.

All proceeds go to the management and organization of the Mandala International Symposium Project.
All paid submissions help finance this project.
