Artist Statement:
Melita Gwerkova is a graduate of a well known art school in Kremnica, in the science of art at Philosophic College of the University Komenský in Bratislava. She lives and works alternately in Banská Štiavnica and Bratislava.
Gwerkova using oil painting, aquarelle and drawing techniques, and offers a composition of heart as a centre of looking down into individual recesses, often withholding emotions, reflective visions.
During summer 2009, from 24 july to 19 august, Gwerkova is preparing an exhibition in France, city Auvillar, gallery: Atelier Galerie A7.
