Artist Statement:

Etching has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Etching helps me relax and have peace of mind. Because I work on the computer all day designing, I like to go back to the old ways and just take an etching needle and draw by hand. I enjoy and take pride in creating the little details that go into my work.

I would categorize most of my etchings as dark, brooding and disturbing. They are an expression of the melancholy side of my personality. I find that working with such dark themes feels very natural to me and because of this, makes me feel extremely connected to my art. Much of my work comes from the places I have traveled but, some I take from photos that have sparked my interest.
