Artist Statement ::
My art reflects the complex relationship among texture, pattern, color and form, creating a visual world one can explore with a sense of mystery and wonder.

I am inspired by visual artists Dali, MC Escher and Miro and the writings of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell. The incredible creative synergy of these influences merge with my Zen meditation pratice to inform my art.

My background as a digital artist is grounded in my earlier career as a professional photographer. I've always been intrigued with the process of manipuating images in the darkroom.

Creative process ::
My art reflects the complex relationship among texture, pattern, color and form, creating a visual world one can explore with a sense of mystery and wonder.

My process is intuitive, and I am continually inspired by the images that emerge reflecting the basic elements of nature, archetypal imagery and ancient art. Some of my work is influenced by the incredible sculptures, architecture and Murano glass I've seen in Florence, Venice and Rome.

I use as many as six different digital applications to transform and fuse original photograpphic images, or to create rich imagery solely using digital technology.
