Artist Statement ::

My work derives its imagery from the accumulation of strands. These strands or veins recall the weft and warp of existence. Time and space and color are the material of this fabric.

They accumulate, gather and strengthen, bit by bit to form phenomena, energy waves or particles.

This dense population of lines reflects inner and outer environments.  In heaped-up strings of consciousness, of form, of feelings, of habits, of thoughts, of muscles, bones, energies, emotions and color — waves emerge. They seemingly arise from nowhere, come into being, gaining mass and momentum, and, then, dissipate.

Just as these emerge and pile up, conscious actions come into being.  Through awareness, human actions which accumulate on individual and national levels have the ability to  change the course of their own movement toward destruction.

Through a recognition of our fundamental embeddedness in and dependence on all processes of nature instead of colliding, using or controlling our universe.
